When we say indigenous,it refers to the breeds of cows which have originated or have grown in our country locally (Desi gaay).
Years experience

Gaushalas are the reminder that cows are not filthy things from an outdated past that just roam on roads, but from a contemporary science, very much relevant to our times.
Sadly, since in the last 100 years, Desi Gaay(Cow breeds of Indian Origin) have been facing a crisis. They have been treated as just animalsgiving milk and were disowned once they reached old age.
Many of them are sent to slaughter houses. The export of Desi breeds for money is also on the rise.
To create a natural check on this,Our Gaushala is working hard for the welfare of such cows, its treatment and better upkeep facilities throughout the year. It’s a model place for demonstration of all rural enterprise and energy efficient agriculture practices which could replicate with Gaushalaers of nearby villages.
